The beginning of 2010 gave us the return of the “Neon” Air Max 95s, and runner collectors rejoiced. And sometime in the near future, two more classic colorways will retro. The “Comet” and “Slate” color-ups are both set to hit stateside retailers this Summer. The “Comets” rely on a white midsole and majority, while red and black appear throughout. The “Slates” also have a white majority, but multiple shades of blue aare the main accents. Bringing back one of its more understated runner styles, Nike releases a retro version of the classic Air Max Triax ‘94, done up in a throwback Neptune Blue colorway. Showcasing a mostly white palette, the kicks add a splash of yellow, black, and neptune blue for a nice balance of color, reviving 90s nostalgia. Retailing for $90 USD, they are now available through Wish.
In a third release, UNDFTD and Converse join forces to serve up a navy version of their popular Poorman Weapon. The previous two iterations included black/orange and olive/orange Overall, the sneaker’s shape and design remains largely intact except for the use of navy blue nylon with the ability to remove and affix Velcro patches and logos. This time around, the sneaker comes packaged with an MA-1 Flight Jacket and a Flight Helmet Bag. A release is slated for January 29th, 2010. Being a big fan of LOST (thanks to Hulu.com) I think its cool for Nike to drop these. After the preview of the Oceanic Airlines Dunk SB earlier, we can now reveal that it’s not the only LOST-themed Nike dropping this month. In anticipation of the final season of LOST, today marks the release of another SB, a Blazer High inspired by Lost’s DHARMA Initiative. The beige colorway matches that of the DHARMA uniforms, while the “SHOE” label appears on both the insole and heeltab, referring to the distribution of supplies on the island. This “Considered Design” (eco-friendly) is available as a Quickstrike release at select SB accounts, including Premier Skateboarding. |
