THIS IS THE PHOTO BOOK FROM THE GLOW IN DARK TOUR. NABIL CAPTURED THE EXPERIENCE LIKE CRAZY! WHEN I LOOK AT THE PHOTOS IT BRINGS ME RIGHT BACK TO THAT TIME! IT’S VERY EMOTIONAL FOR ME BECAUSE I DIDN’T WANT TO HAVE TO TOUR BUT MY PAIN BROUGHT MY GREATEST CREATION TO DATE. THANK YOU TO EVERYBODY WHO CAME TO THE SHOWS AND EXPERIENCED THIS MOMENT IN TIME WITH ME! – Kanye West
This is another one of those samples EVERYONE should know. The Isle Brothers, “Between The Sheets.” Ima focus on the “enough of this singing, let’s make love” bridge of the song tho (skip to 3:27 on the video) b/c that’s what everyone freestyles to. I’ll give yall the original (I think), Jay-Z feat. Beanie Sigel; and 2 of my favorites, Drake feat. Lil’ Wayne and Lupe. We’ll revisit this sample in the future b/c……. well yall know why.
Toronto + New York = (Sir Scratch + K-Cut) + Large Professor = Main Source. Apparently they weren’t gettin along and Large Prof. left the group, and they brought in Mikey D. They didn’t really go to far which is kinda common for artists of this era but whatever, I’ve been listening to this song for a while now. Study hard, no homo……
“Gone for a minute now I’m back again,” cuz I was w/out internet. But obviously I got it now and I’ve returned w/ a free sample, Tom Scott’s “Today,” used in Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth’s “T.R.O.Y. (They Reminisce Over You).”
Tupac’s “I Ain’t Mad At Cha” and BLACKstreet’s “Don’t Leave Me Now” both sample the same song, DeBarge’s “A Dream,” which everyone should know; I don’t care how old you are, you better get familiar. Also, get familiar w/ Mary J. Blige’s cover of the song for the “Money Talks” soundtrack, which yall should’ve seen, despite your age. So many classics…….
I’m watchin this Jet Li joint, “Fist of Legend,” so I don’t even feel like seeing what this joint is about, but here’s my prediction: OMG Girls make some wack song, Tiny spends more of T.I.’s money, and Toya complains about her life, then tries to get someone to pay her to write about it…….now on to the previews of next week’s episode.
